Case Study - Major UK Charity

Having access to wealthmonitor has given us unprecedented access to information about prospective donors that we would never pick up through the mainstream press or published rich lists. It enables us to see the financial information on the prospect in one place and saves time in having to unpick this through the press ourselves.

Identifying prospects to fund local projects
We were recently able use wealthmonitor to identify prospective donors from the Newcastle area who may be able to help fund a new project in that area. We are looking for multi million pound funding and we have been able to identify prospective donors at different levels to talk to. We searched using the locations tab and selecting the higher net worth individual’s options.

High Level Giving Event
Another recent success using the system is that we were able to identify 150 new prospects via Wealthmonitor who were invited completely cold to a fundraising event. One of the prospects that attended the event is now becoming very involved with the X Charity and is hoping to hold a high level engagement event of their own. For this we selected one of the medium wealth levels as we were looking for people with a mid range of wealth.

Major Gift Projects to Develop Our Help Lines Services
It is an exciting time for the X Charity as we are hoping to expand all our services to answer as many calls from children and adults as possible. We have used Wealthmonitor to identify several high level prospective donors from the worlds of telecoms, internet and the media by using the industry selections on the advanced search. These high net worth individuals have been cross checked against the Sunday Times Rich List and several aren’t featured on the list. This gives us a great advantage

Weekly Monitoring
Once a week we go through all the alerts we have received on new and potential wealth. We look for potential links to existing volunteers as well as for prospective donors who may have a link to our cause. These prospects are flagged with our major gift fundraising teams who pick them up to take a solicitation forward.
