Balzac Coffee, a coffee shop operator based in Hamburg, Germany, has been acquired by Swedish coffee group Espresso House, Der Tagesspiegel reported. The German daily said financial terms and whether the Balzac name would continue to exist were not disclosed.
Balzac was founded in 1998 and operates 43 coffee shops.
